Let me tell you that stretching is an vital part of soccer training tips and professional coaches highly recommend it along with almost every player in every sport practicing it daily? Soccer is a sport which is continuously growing and developing in its intricacy.

There are two types of stretching that can be incorporated in kid’s training for soccer; static and dynamic stretching.

Static stretching requires the kids to extend their muscles as far as they can and hold for a given duration of time. Rebounding, rhythmic bouncing, and recurring motions are involved in dynamic stretching. In comparison with static stretching, it is more risky and less useful.

This article discusses some benefits of stretching that go a long way in making a good player great.

Soccer Training

Stretching reduces injuries: Continuous stretching during the day and performed over a period of time may promote muscle growth that, consecutively, could reduce the risk of injury. Stretching also provides an effective way of enhancing the muscle size and strength.

Stretching influences flexibility: Stretching puts off the loss of flexibility. But, stretching is more beneficial in the long run when performed continuously rather than during the shorter periods of time.

Stretching a few minutes prior to any event is likely to increase flexibility. But the best of all soccer training tips is to spread a stretching program over a period of months, leading to a constant increase in range of motion.

Stretching improves performance: Stretches, when designed to be soccer specific can greatly improve a player's performance.

Stretching can be great fun for the kids: If you include a lot of different types of soccer drills in your practice sessions, it can be a lot of fun. Keep altering the warm up exercises that you do before stretching. Try to include games such as the tag game, ball tag, and keep away.

Concentrate all your energy on stretching, experience and identify with each stretch while checking for soreness.

In most of the cases a single 15-30 minute stretch for each muscle group is enough for kids but some may need longer stretches or more repetitions.

This is due to the fact that when the temperature of muscles is higher than normal, inflexibility decreases and extensibility increases. Kids who feel like to keep up or enhance their flexibility can realize this goal to some extent by stretching. It is better, safer, and more productive to do stretching exercises when the body temperature is higher than normal.

That's why some experienced coaches recommend stretching after a workout also. To prevent muscles for tightening too fast, make your players do some stretching after they’ve practiced soccer skills.

Generally, players who exercise an active warm-up prior to stretching get a better range of motion than those who only stretch. So if injury prevention is your aim, stop stretching before exercise and increase the warm up time.

When feeling stiff or inflexible, the most important soccer training tips is to allow kids to warm up sufficiently, as doing stretches would not help them become flexible, and will become boring and futile. Free Soccer Training Drills: 4 Action Ideas

Free soccer training drills

Here are some helpful suggestions, take it or leave it. In practicing free soccer training drills, the best teams keeps on switching the ball, looking for space and exploring the opposition's defense for a fault. Follow the techniques given below, during the soccer coaching drills, and train the players accordingly to impart these skills.

Match winning tactic: keep the ball swinging between attackers from right to left; engaging the defenders in between. Look a good opportunity and attack the goal. To relief the players from stress, ask them to keep the ball switching.

The quick switch or the blind pass: Train one or two of your mid-fielders to dribble to the right, using the right foot, and then swing the ball to the left, sending almost a blind pass.Rapid Switching or the Blind Pass: Develop a skill in one or two mid-fielders to move the ball with right foot while kicking it to the left, showing almost a blind pass. You should teach the same technique to the left-footed mid-fielders, with the variation that they would dribble to the left side while swinging the ball back to the right side using left foot.

Your team will have an excellent chance to achieve the goal, since the opposite defender won’t be expecting the pass.

Soccer Drills

All the players should always be ready for this type of pass so ask your team to regularly perform the technique. This is one of the difficult techniques in soccer drills, but it will assure everyone’s full involvement in the soccer practice.

You need to setup six small goals on either side of the ground in order to carry on the drill. The team scores where the player runs through the goals which are placed in the middle, while playing from the back. They get two points for passing through the last goals as this encourages switching.

Throughout free soccer training drills, the goals should be made adequately wide to teach that there is not much use only to put a player between them to avoid a run or pass. Select one player to run from goal A to B. When they are in between the goal, the opposition won't be able to score.

Young defenders have tendency to move away from their designated positions. They have tendency to move towards the ball. So tell your mid-fielders to keep an eye on the sections and make out if by switching play from one side to the other they can surprise the defenders who have gone missing.

In the subsequent football drills session, spend some time demonstrating to players how to cover the total width of the pitch. Impart the skill and repeat a few times, especially make them realize where the actual attacking threat may raise.

As now you have the complete information, remember to include these trainings to your free soccer training drills, so your players are always ready and the opposition mid-fielders find it difficult to catch your defenders out. Free soccer training drills

If you think like me you would most certainly realize the value of integrating free soccer training drills so that every player in the team learns how to throw the ball in. In performing youth soccer drills, nearly 70 per cent of throw-ins are foul throws and the other team gets the possession of the ball.

To overcome this issue it is essential that all the players in your team learn how to perform throw-ins correctly and get the possession of the ball right away. This significantly increases the chances of having control of the ball, while giving a chance go behind the defense and make a run for the goal.

The players are only required to learn a few easy actions and moves performed properly at the U-10 level and below, to get the ball back their control.

Some soccer coaches tend to count only on some selected players in free soccer training drills. These players are called the designated throwers. So the most worn out player in the game is the designated thrower. He is supposed to run up and down the sideline and also across the ground, to make a simple throw in.

Soccer Drills

Now one more time I would restate the fact that all the players out there playing need to be encouraged to throw the ball in. All too often, when a ball gets kicked out of boundary, a quick-thinking forward prepares to pitch it back into play, only to be stopped by his or her coach. Now when this player objects, he learns that he/she not being a mid-fielder is not permitted to take the throws and the midfielders take throws only.

Throughout coaching drills it should be monitored that all the team members are given the opportunity to touch the ball as much as possible. A quick throw-in not only gives a chance to score, its effects go far beyond the win-lose theory. The game finishes in about an hour with young players. Hence not too much of the time should go in placing the ball back into the play.

Soccer coaches play a vital role developing strategic awareness among the players, by stressing upon quick throws as compared to those who don’t. In carrying out football drills, teams that defend against a designated thrower generally have at least 20 or 30 seconds to get back behind the ball because usual defending against unexpected restarts would not work.

To develop youth players for higher level of play the coaches should make time to groom their players. It is essential that all the beginners learn the technique of throwing-in the ball properly; and after that it could be reverted back to the ground for the kids to carry on the game.

During free soccer training skills, you should avoid asking impossible goals to the young players; keep noted that skills, knowledge of game and stamina vary from age to age. The advantage to subscribe the youth coaching community is to receive helpful resources and articles, periodic newsletters and videos in order to train youth players.

Soccer training tips

There’s something I’d like to know from you. Not following the soccer training tips, most soccer coaches blindly design training programs for their players just to make up the numbers and simply go through the motions. Are you doing the same thing?

Before you design your next training programs, make sure you set some specific goals for your team. Determine in advance what you wish to achieve form this program and do whatever it takes to accomplish that.

Add to your training program such soccer drills that are new, innovative, and fun to perform so as to add variety. This will give the players a break from the dullness of performing repetitive drills day in and day out. Once players start enjoying their practice sessions, you'll notice that their performance will improve consistently.

Regardless of the level at which they play and their age, your players need to learn to listen to you and give due respect. Appreciating each other’s feelings creates an environment that is pleasant for both the coach and the kids.

Soccer Training

A high level of flexibility greatly benefits every soccer player. It has been divided into 3 categories.

Dynamic flexibility: It refers to a player’s capability to perform fast movements within the full range of motion in the joint, like twisting from side to side.

Static active flexibility: This is the aptitude of a player to stretch a hard muscle by using the tension from within that muscle. One example is to hold one leg in front of you and keep it as high as you can. Here, your hamstrings are stretched when your quadriceps and hip flexors hold your leg up.

Static passive: It’s the skill of using the body weight or some external force to hold a stretch. For example; picture yourself holding your leg out in front of you and relaxing it on a chair.

Now let's go to the next in line of soccer training tips. Here, you need to check if the kids are clad in appropriate clothes that suit the weather conditions.

Training for soccer should be followed by a fitness program that focuses only on those areas that need maximum help. Keep the following factors in mind whenever you are designing this kind of a training program.

Player's age: Decrease in the flexibility of soft tissue with aging is directly related to the reduced range of movement as one grows older, irrespective of the gender. Still, the chances of flexibility getting decreased are very less if we remain active.

Gender: Girls display more range and movement irrespective of their age.

Motion: It is natural for kids with an active lifestyle to showcase better soccer skills and a greater range of movement that the ones not so active on field.

Injury: Injuries also impede the range of motion in a joint.

Pain: With an increase in pain, flexibility decreases resulting in muscle spasms. However, strength training does not hamper flexibility unless you don't do the exercises correctly and not in full range of motion.

Heredity: How flexible is a player’s body depends upon a player's genetics also.
