To represent various sports organizations and universities in the United States, the term Swoop is used. However, in the football arena, one of the most famous mascots used by the National Football League team that wears the Philadelphia Eagles jackets is also known as Swoop.

The Swoop character is mostly depicted as an American Bald Eagle or some type of bird wearing a sports jersey, well representing the Philadelphia Eagles since the word “swoop” generally means “to fly down” or “to take the plunge”.But because the name “Swoop” is way too general and popular for that matter, there are several different American universities that uses the same name.

In the National Football League regular season, Swoop regularly appears as an animated character and shows off beautiful NFL jackets in the weekly Philadelphia Eagles Kids Club television show. Since the show's debut in 2005, the animated version of Swoop has been serving as a host of this show.

In the Shop Commercial of the National Football League, Swoop made a cameo appearance where a thief disguised as a kangaroo mascot tried to steal Philadelphia Eagles’ sports jackets from the locker room after a game. The kangaroo tried to escape but the security guards caught it when Swoop walked into the locker room .

The mascot that represents Eastern Michigan University is also nmaed Swoop.Eagles is athletic teams nickname.

In Eastern Washington University Eagles, Swoop their mascot's name. Swoop makes many appearances in all sporting events and other gatherings.

Also in Emory Univeristy, Swoop is the name of their mascot who also routinely makes appearances at various athletic events. In sporting events of Miami University, Swoop alwasys can be found .

Swoop is the universal name used by American teams from different universities or organizations.American people are united in their dreams, work and desire.

The mascot for Philadelphia Eagles named Swoop represents not only the football team, but the whole community and residents of United States.

Flying Without Wings, Philadelphia Eagles

The team on a Philadelphia Eagles jacket based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania are soaring high. They are members of the East Division of the National Football Conference in the National Football League. Philadelphia Eagles was established as a replacement for the bankrupt Frankford Yellow Jackets in 1933 and named after the Blue Eagle, a symbol used for the New Deal stimulus programs initiated during the Great Depression.

These mighty Philadelphia Eagles have worn the NFL jacket by winning three National Football League titles and made two Super Bowl appearances.

In 1940, the Philadelphia Eagles moved to Shibe Park and played up to 1957 at their home games at the stadium, except for the 1941 season, which was played at Municipal Stadium, where they had played from 1936 to 1939.

The Eagles struggled over the course of their first decade and during the World War II, experienced manpower shortages .To fill the roster, the team merged with the Pittsburgh Steelers forming the Phil-Pitt Eagles and were known as the Steagles. At the end of 1943 season, the merger was never intended to be permanent and was dissolved.

In 1960 under the management of Pro Football Hall of Famers Norm Van Brocklin and Chuck Bednarik; the head coach was Buck Shaw, the Philadelphia Eagles won their 3rd National Football Championship. The only team to defeat Vince Lombardi in 1960 was the Eagles.

For an estimated $185 million, Jeffrey Lurie bought the Philadelphia Eagles from then-owner Norman Braman on May 6,1994. Worth $1, the team is now estimated to be the 11th most valuable sports team.

The Eagles jacket’s official colors were Kelly green, silver, and white. The club's helmets have featured eagle wings since 1950, originally silver on a Kelly green helmet. In 1969, the Philadelphia Eagles wore two helmet versions: Kelly green with white wings in road games, and white with Kelly green wings at home. Before switching back to Kelly green helmets with silver wings,From 1970 to '73, they wore the white helmets with Kelly green wings exclusively .By 1974 Joseph A Scirrotto Jr designed the silver wings took on a white outline, and this style on a Kelly green helmet became standard for over two decades.

Although from '69–72, the Philadelphia Eagles took on a more stylized look, the team logo was an eagle in flight carrying a football in its claws.

Philadelphia Eagles take its flight and soars high like the eagles. Their flight may not always be smooth but they will always have a fine and steady landing.

The average Philadelphia Eagles fan will probably want to either dance in the streets or chuck batteries at the Energizer Bunny (because he didn't run quite long enough) with a headline like "Donovan McNabb traded to Redskins." The former group points to his lack of Super Bowl victories and supposedly inaccurate arm. The latter is just surly. They are the same exact group who would throw vegetables at Mike Schmidt and Santa Claus.

As the Washington Post puts it, McNabb's new home is happy to have the six-time Pro Bowler. Although still resembling bold ineptitude, the result of Philadelphia's bold move on McNabb will most likely be something that falls short of. Eagles fans, enjoy the Phillies this season. They're worth it. Michael Vick at QB, on the other hand, is not. Kevin Kolb is a wait-and-see - either a sleeper who will be getting a big salary cash advance soon or a mediocre QB.

McNabb traded to Redskins - will this mean D.C. has their starting QB?

McNabb traded to the Redskins also means that where there was uncertainty with Jason Campbell, now Washington knows what they're getting. A second-round draft pick (37th pick overall) and a fourth-round pick in 2011 was all they needed to sacrifice in order to get him. According to the Post, however, that 2011 pick could become a third-round selection if McNabb performs well.

Don't expect the same kind of performance he turned in back in 2004, when he led the Eagles to Super Bowl XXXIX and was named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Year. Despite current circumstances, McNabb held his own grounds - 31 touchdowns, 8 interceptions and a 104.7 quarterback rating. Now swallow down a slimy, greasy sandwich and wipe your hands on your grimy undershirt and Underoos. Just keep your football "knowledge" to yourselves and cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze. If I'm in the payday loans line, I don't want your mutant germs.

Donovan McNabb - he led the Eagles to 4 straight division titles and 5 conference championships

Certainly he would have traded some of those in for a Super Bowl victory, but how many other worthy quarterbacks never won the Super Bowl? Among them, Donovan McNabb ranks highly well. With over 32,000 passing yards and 200 touchdowns - stats that are actually better than John Elway's, when touchdowns to interceptions are considered - "McNabb traded to the Redskins" should make D.C. fans smile. This man can still play football.
